Welcome to Mediation Connection for 2023

Mediation Connection will be held on the third Thursday of each month, 7-8 pm via Zoom.
The first Mediation Connection Session for 2023 will be Thursday January 19, 2023 from 7 – 8 pm via Zoom.
Zoom invitations for each Mediation Connection session will be sent out to this email group several days prior to the Mediation Connection session.

If you are interested in joining Mediation Connection, please send an email to Marg Romanow at [email protected] to be added to the monthly Mediation Connection Zoom invitations.
There is no cost to attend Mediation Connection.

Information regarding Mediation Connection:
The goal of the Mediation Connection is to provide a safe and supportive environment to practice Mediation skills. Mediation Connection will assist those wishing to improve their mediation skills and connect with like-minded Mediators dedicated to Mediation practice improvement and excellence. Mediation Connection provides Guest Speakers and educational sessions relating to Mediation Practice.

Specific Objectives for the Mediation Connection:
    1. Provide an opportunity to practice Mediation.
    2. Practice Mediation in a safe environment with others who have a common interest to learn more about Mediation.
    3. Practice Mediation following the Six Step Mediation Process (PIECES) as outlined by Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada (ADRIC).
    4. To Practice non-violent communication skills.
    5. To allow Participants an opportunity to discuss Mediation issues in general, and to discuss new developments in the profession.
    6. Provide critical feedback of the Mediator’s performance to allow learning and grow
    7. Requests for Mediation Practice Role Plays for the purposes of QMed Designations may be accommodated.

Attendance at Mediation Connection is recognized by ADRSK for Continuing Education Credits.

Understanding the Dynamics of Domestic Violence for Family Law Practitioners

The Med-Arb Foundational Workshop
